The power of one idea, and wise decision making process. Kony Case
From an idea to one movement, how really change agents act and how day by day they discover a new path for make more impact.
It was more and less 4 months ago
when and I saw the next video.
She is Natalie
Warne, during my process for being elected president of a NGO in Colombia, my
home country, just showed me the power of do not be afraid but even more
the power of stand up and continue once again, it doesn't matter how many times
I have to do it.
Today
was a real surprise for me watch a video about KONY 2012, it is a little
bit long, but totally worth.
Well,
the point is, both persons have worked for the same reason and it's really
inspiring how this guy has all the characteristics of a real change agent and
how humble idea have become in an international movement.
However,
when I was watching this video I linked all the content to one movie named Die
Welle, in English The Wave, this
is actually the other way around how we can see in this specific case how
movement can get out control, actually the movie is based on a real case,
nevertheless it's important understand both sides.
My main
insights about the movement created are:
1. Definitely
one youth people trend in the entire world is how we are missing the sense of
purpose, so get people in touch with this kind of causes is easy as long as we
care about the media, actually the social media that we use.
2.
World is social media. The impact created in the world is not anymore for
"unplugged" people, youth as old generations are using the medias how
lifestyle. How to take advantage?
3.
Pareto Law, it's really interesting how in this case they hunted the most
influential people in media but also in state policy, which is really smart,
you need social pressure but people who can make the real change and press trigger.
Let's
see what happen, with this army. It’s beautiful how we are so influenced.
